Birthday Pop up

Before I start (Happy Birthday to me)....hehehe...As I said I Wanted to get a tutorial out for the A Frame Pop up Birthday card that fits the standard Stampin Up! medium envelopes. It bugs me when I can't find an envelope or when the cards dimensions are just slightly off and you're trying to shove it inside that envelope. So here is the tutorial by pictures ( I was going to do video, but i think this way you can enlarge the pictures to see the score lines and cut lines).

Lets Begin!

Step 1. Take a 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock and measure it width at 4 1/4". Using your trimmer cut the cardstock .

Step 2. Now that its cut, place the cardstock 1" in and place your cutting blade at the 1" mark.
Cut from 1" to 6 1/2", flip it over and repeat this step .

You'll have two cut lines in the center of your cardstock.
Like this :

Step 3. To our Scoring board!, Now you're going to score (look at how the cardstock is placed) starting at the 1" side you started the cut with, score at these measurements:
1" and 2".
Easy tip: score at 1" then flip over cardstock and score again at 1".

Repeat this tip for the other measurements as well.
It should look like this :

Step 3. Now keeping the cardstock in that place, you are going to also score (look at the red lines) at inside 5 1/2 and outside 6 1/2.

When done scoring your cardstock should look like this :

Step 4: Now you Can Fold!, Again starting at the 1" scoring side, fold it down and the 2" scoring line fold up. As you do this you'll see that the card will start going in the shape of where your score lines are.
Take your bone folder and crease the score lines so you have a nice clean fold.
When finished it should look like this :

Now all you have to do is decorate and send!.
